‘Hamare Krishna, Hamare Ram’ held in Panaji

PANAJI: The ‘Ramcharitmanas’ by Sant Tulsidas contains the essence of knowledge from ancient scriptures and can bring joy and peace to life, said Acharya Madhav Om Sharma at the ‘Hamare Krishna, Hamare Ram’ programme held at the Mahalaxmi temple in Panaji.

Comparing the scripture to a toy that delights people, Acharya Sharma said its study can make life easier. He narrated stories from the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha and Ramcharitmanas through bhajans, highlighting the different virtues of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna.

He said Lord Ram’s character teaches the principles of an ideal life, while both Ram and Krishna guided people on duties towards society, family, the nation and the Earth. The seven chapters of the Ramcharitmanas, he added, each have a unique socio-cultural impact. The event was organised by Naval Mundra and Rakhee Mundra.
