ASSOCHAM Goa State Council organised a Menstrual Awareness Program on May 28, 2025, at BPS Club, Margao. The event, themed “Pioneering a Sustainable Ecosystem in Hygiene, Sanitation, Water & Waste Management,” was held in collaboration with the Department of Environment & Climate Change, Government of Goa, and supported by the Goa State Commission for Women. The initiative addressed menstrual health, sustainable sanitation, water use, and waste management. It brought together medical professionals, environmental experts, policymakers, and innovators to raise awareness and promote action for a healthier, sustainable future. Special Guest Sachin Desai, Director of Environment & Climate Change, emphasised how menstrual awareness fosters the adoption of sustainable technologies and waste reduction. Keynote speaker Gaurav Pokle, CEO of YIMBY India, spoke on transforming waste through sustainable methods. Other speakers included Pallavi Salgaocar, Ranjita Pai, Dr. Geeta Patki, C. Radhakrishnan, Soham Prabhu, Dr. Sawani Hegde, Dr. Aruna Bhide, and Dr. Jaanvi Prabhudessai; each contributing insights into healthcare, environmental policy, and sustainable innovation.
