Burglars struck again in the jurisdiction of Margao police station, this time targeting a roadside fruit vendor on the NH66 at Navelim. The value of the stolen fruits is pegged around Rs 20,000, the vendor claimed. In fact, the CCTV footage captured the accused sporting a beard, entering the road side stall and successfully decamping with fruits worth around Rs 20,000. The vendor claimed that thefts of fruits have been taken place at the stall since 2017. This time, however, the theft has been captured on the CCTV camera, with the accused picking up fruits from the stalls. The Margao police is investigating.
