PANAJI: The Excellence Photographer Academy (EPA), Malaysia has awarded a Founding Team Member Certificate to Goan photographer Chandan Damu Naik Gaonkar. EPA is an independent, non-commercial international photography initiative started by eight well-known photographers from Malaysia, India, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Italy, Romania and the USA. Its main office is in Malaysia.
The academy follows a non-institutional approach and focuses on developing talent, mentoring photographers, offering constructive feedback and recognising good work. There are no membership systems, fees or ranks. EPA aims to support and encourage photographers who show strong creative potential, and it does so free of cost. Gratitude was expressed to Lai Hon Foo, founder of EPA Malaysia, for the recognition.
