Fernandes elected President of Goan Seamen Association

The newly elected managing committee of the Goan Seamen Association of India, led by Joseph Assis Fernandes.

MARGAO: Joseph Assis Fernandes has been elected as the new President of the Goan Seamen Association of India for the 2026–2028 term. He will be supported by a newly elected managing committee, which will work together for the welfare, unity and progress of the seafaring community.

Apart from President Joseph Assis Fernandes, the committee includes Vice Presidents Capt. Christopher Fernandes and Santan Pereira, Secretary Michael Beny Da Costa, Assistant Secretary Sandeep Kalekar, Treasurer Cheng. Jose Moris Gomes, Assistant Treasurer Umakant Sawant, Cultural Secretary Dr Anita D’Souza, and Sports Secretary Lawrie Pereira. The executive committee members include Dixon Vaz and Joe Fernandes.
