MARGAO
The Margao police has registered a case of misappropriation of funds against a husband-wife duo. Upon a complaint lodged by one Pritam Vaid, a resident of Goregaon West, Mumbai, the accused person conspired with her husband on Nov 18, 2025, at a nationalised Bank at Margao, and dishonestly misappropriated and converted the funds amounting to Rs 10 crore of the deceased, who is the uncle of the complainant, for their own use by converting them to fixed deposits, thereby violating the trust reposed in them and without consent of the lawful heir. A case under section 316(2),61(2) r/w 3(5) of BNS is registered against the husband-wife duo.
