A resident of Aquem-Margao has complained to the Margao police that he has been cheated to the tune of Rs 4 lakh by an unknown accused person on the promise of providing overseas job in Australia. In his complaint, Moises Fernandes stated on March 23, 2026, an unknown accused person on the pretext of providing overseas job at Australia, dishonestly induced him to pay Rs 4 lakh through RTGS Transaction. He further stated that the accused person has failed to provide the job, thereby cheated him to the tune of Rs 4 lakh. A case under section 349 (2) BNS has been registered by the Margao police.
