Youngsters who were allegedly duped by an agent on the promise of providing overseas jobs have upped the ante in support of their demand for the arrest of the agent and return of their money.
A delegation of the victims led by social activists Savio Goes and Fidol Pereira called on the district police chief Santosh Desai with a plea to register FIR against the agent and ensure the return of their money.
The SP, South assured the delegation that the Colva police would investigate the case and initiate necessary action.
Fidol told the media that one cannot abdicate his or her responsibility if reference was given to the beleaguered youngsters to approach a agent.
She said necessary documents will be placed in public domain to prove the role of persons involved in duping the youngsters.
