MARGAO

A doctor from Margao has reported to the police that he was robbed at knife point at his home in Benaulim on 6 April.

In his complaint, he said an unknown man of short height and dark complexion, wearing a long-sleeved light-coloured T-shirt, entered his property while he was unlocking the door.

The doctor alleged that the man pushed him to the floor, threatened him with a knife, and took his gold chain.

He added that the accused also took his shorts, along with a wallet containing around Rs 4,000, car keys, keys to two houses, and important documents including his DDSSY card, MDI, Aadhaar card, and bank cards — items worth about Rs 1,50,000.

The complainant said the man then locked him inside the house before fleeing.

Colva police have registered an FIR under sections 329(3), 115(2), 351(3), 309(4), and 127(2) of the BNS.
