Goan film ‘Rishi’ screened at   SRFTI in Kolkata

The Goan short film Rishi, directed by Mario Pimenta and Anlisa Rodrigues, was among the 15 shortlisted films screened at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata, as part of the Roopantor Film Festival, also known as the Rongheen Short Film Contest. The Roopantor Film Festival is known for showcasing films that transcend boundaries and explore diverse themes, bringing together voices from across the country. Rishi was the only Goan film selected for the festival, marking a significant achievement for Goan cinema at one of India’s most prestigious national film schools. The film stars Cyrus Fernandes and Roshni Maurya, both mass communication students from Don Bosco College, Panaji. The voiceover is provided by Sneha Fernandes, a mass communication student from St Xavier’s College, Mapusa. The festival jury included Abhijit Dasgupta and Shekhar Das.
