The first-ever Sensory Integrated Garden in Goa, a unique project of the Caritas Goa, will be inaugurated at Saligao at 4.30 pm on Wednesday.  Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao will bless the garden along with some deafblind young adults. Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities Guru Pawaskar and secretary Yaha Haziz will grace the occasion. “The Sensory Garden is a significant step towards inclusivity and empowerment. The innovative space is not just a garden; it is a powerful symbol of inclusion, accessibility, and the recognition of every child’s right to experience and interact with the world around them,” said Caritas Goa Director Fr Maverick Fernandes.  “It provides a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment where children can explore through touch, sound, smell, and movement. This initiative reflects a deep understanding of how sensory experiences play a crucial role in the development, learning, and emotional well-being of children with disabilities."
