Pilar Monastery Church reopens for Masses to public

The Pilar Monastery Church will reopen on January 14, in accordance with the SOP/Guidelines for health and safety protocols for reopening of Churches as issued by the Goa government and the Goa Archdiocesan authorities.

The Church had been closed to the public since March 22, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the past few weeks, enhanced protocols were put in place in preparation for the safe return of the faithful to the Pilar Monastery Church for regular masses as well as visits to the tomb of Venerable Fr Agnelo.

While the Daily Masses will be celebrated at 7 am and 8 am, Masses for devotees of Venerable Agnelo on Thursday will be celebrated at 6.30 am, 8 am, 9.30 am and 5 pm. Masses on Sunday will be celebrated at 6.30 am, 8 am, 9.30 am and 5 pm. Confessions will be held only on Thursdays. The faithful and visitors are reminded to wear their masks at all times and maintain social distancing norms. They are also requested not to enter the residential area.
