PANAJI: The Indian Navy has announced that small arms firing exercises by INS Hansa, Dabolim will take place at the Cavelossim range on September 3 and 4, 2025. According to officials, all weapons will be fired strictly within the designated target area inside the Cavelossim range. Residents have been advised not to panic on hearing the sound of gunfire during the exercise. The public has also been strictly prohibited from entering the beachfront adjoining the Cavelossim range, as it falls within the danger zone. Fishing and recreational boats are not allowed in the sea area up to 2 km from the range during the firing period.
The Navy has further appealed to residents and visitors to cooperate with the safety measures in place. Authorities stressed that the exercise is part of routine training and is important to maintain operational readiness. Police and naval officials will be monitoring the area to ensure that restrictions are followed.
