PANAJI: A youth career guidance event held in Goa, organised by the Mendonsa Foundation and led by Project Director Rex Fernandes and Dr. Vivek G. Mendonsa, offered students a broad view of career opportunities. Career expert Shailaja Mulay highlighted over 35 career paths, notably revealing 800,000 vacancies in Library Science, a wake-up call for students to explore lesser-known fields. Dr. Shubhalaxmi Acharya, founder of Mind Elements, conducted a Core Mind Mapping (CMM) test to help students identify their strengths and aptitudes.
The Mendonsa Foundation, established in memory of Isidore Cinnatus Mendonca by trustees Robert, Joseph, Philip, and Michael, continues its mission of empowering Goan youth and senior citizens through education and community service. Following the event’s success, the foundation plans to host more workshops and resources focused on career development and vocational training, strengthening support for Goa’s future workforce.
