
The car that plunged during the mishap at Redighat-Sattari.

A car driver was injured in a self-accident near the Shri Ganesh Temple at Redighat–Sattari on Saturday evening. The mishap took place at about 3 pm when Pravin Shetkar of Kumbharkhan-Sattari lost control of the car while travelling from Valpoi towards Honda and the vehicle went off the road, plunging into a gorge.
While Shetkar suffered a shoulder injury, the car sustained extensive damage in the mishap. He was initially moved to the Valpoi Health Centre and receiving primary treatment, was referred to Goa Medical College (GMC) hospital for further medical care. Residents have pointed out that several accidents have earlier occurred on the Redighat–Valpoi road, and have advised motorists to exercise extra caution while driving in this area.
