PANAJIThe 210th edition of multilingual poetry recitation programme ‘Kavyamaifal’ was held at the Municipal hall in Margao recently with the participation of poets from across Goa. Retired professor Kavita Borkar presented her poem on life after a gap of three years along with other poets, Prathan Sawant, Prasad Sawant, Rupesh Desai, Purnima Desai, Kavita Amonkar, Usha Kamat, Maya Kharangate, Smita Vernekar, Pandharinath Lotlikar, Hanumant Mauzo, Viraj Prabhudesai, Rajani Raikar, Ajay Jevalikar, Sharmila Prabhu, Vallabh Dubhashi, Santosh Timble, Babita Narvekar, Meena Redkar among others. The programme, initiated by late Ashok Borkar, has been organised on every third Saturday in a month and continued during the pandemic through WhatsApp group. Senior member of Kavaymaifal Prasad Sawant was felicitated for his birthday, at the hands of senior poet Pandharinath Lotlikar.
