Adv Prasad Naik re-elected president of South Goa Advocates Association

South Goa Advocates Association, one of the largest legal bodies in the state with over 800 practicing lawyers, re-elected Adv Prasad Naik as President for a second term. With a tenure of two years, Adv Naik's re-election underscores the confidence and trust placed in his leadership by the legal fraternity. During his previous term, Adv Naik spearheaded numerous initiatives addressing critical issues affecting the legal landscape of South Goa. Notable among these efforts were his advocacy for the efficient functioning of revenue courts and sub-registrar offices. Additionally, he led the movement to refurbish the historic trial court building in Margao, which had been plagued by structural issues, particularly during the monsoon season. Looking ahead, Adv Naik has outlined a clear agenda for his team's next term. A primary focus will be on advocating for the allocation of two seats for Goa in the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, reflecting the association's commitment to representing the interests of its members at a broader regional level. The other elected members are: Adv Kiev Caetano Paes– Vice President; Adv Roheet Shirodkar – Secretary; Adv Maria D’Costa – Treasurer; Adv Lea Diniz – Lady Representative; Adv Nikhil Katkar – Member (Margao); Adv Pranay Kavrekar – Member (Quepem) Adv Kashinath Sawant Dessai – Member (Sanguem); Adv Jesinta Miranda – Member (Vasco); Adv Omkar Dalvi – Member (Canacona).
