MARGAO: Margao Congress Block Convener Savio Coutinho and Congress office bearers visited Loyola High School and Higher Secondary, Margao, and presented a basket of flowers and a copy of India’s Constitution Preamble to Fr William Rodrigues, Superior and Chairman of the Jesuit institution, to mark Guru Poornima.
Coutinho said Guru Poornima is a day to honour teachers and mentors who guide us with knowledge and wisdom. It is a time to thank them for their role in personal and spiritual growth. The day also marks the birth anniversary of Maharishi Ved Vyasa, who wrote the Mahabharata. He shared that we meet many “gurus” in life, not just in school but in many forms, who help shape our lives with their teachings.
