SANGUEM: The Kalay Gram Samiti of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh held a farmers’ meeting at Shri Kalnath Devasthan Hall. Progressive farmers Amar Ramsingh Patil and Navalo Gango Natose were felicitated, and saplings were distributed to farmers. A tree plantation drive was held in the temple area. The event began with the lighting of the lamp and Kisan Geet. BKS Goa leaders Krishnanath Sawant Desai, Sanjeev Kunkalayekar and Shrirang Jambhale spoke about the association’s work. Ramnaresh Singh from the Central Irrigation Project also guided farmers. Several BKS district representatives, Devasthan members, and local panchayat members attended. The event was coordinated by Damodar Kanekar, with a vote of thanks by Laxmikant Sawant Desai.
