PANAJI: The Goa State Co-operative Bank Ltd., Poriem Branch, held a Financial Inclusion Saturation Campaign at the Gram Panchayat Hall, Poriem, on 19 August. Sanjeev Kumar, Chief General Manager and Banking Ombudsman for Goa and Maharashtra, RBI, was the chief guest.
The event featured presentations on government schemes such as PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMSBY, and the Atal Pension Yojana. Speakers also highlighted the importance of re-KYC, grievance redressal, account nomination, and NABARD’s financial inclusion initiatives. Prabhakar Jha, Regional Director, RBI Goa, urged people to update KYC details and reactivate inoperative accounts. Shri Sanjeev Kumar explained the national financial inclusion campaign and the role of the Banking Ombudsman.
RBI presented a token of appreciation to Deepa Naik, Sarpanch of Poriem. The camp saw strong participation, with 170 account holders completing re-KYC, 55 PMSBY and 23 PMJJBY accounts opened.
