MARGAO: Fr Agnelo Youth Club Paroda downed Betalbatim Sports Club 2-0 to enter the quarter-finals of 15th Davorlim Cup, organised by Sporting Club Davorlim, at Davorlim Panchayat ground, on Friday.
Both teams played attacking football and tried to take the lead but it was Melvin of Paroda who shot into the hands of Betalbatim goalkeeper in 15th minute while Dixon Rogtanv of Betalbatim failed to tap the ball into the goal in the 34th minute. Both teams remained 0-0 at half time.
In the second half, Frazer and Ronald missed scoring opportunities. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Reagan Costa of Paroda scored two quick goals in 50th and 60th minutes.
