Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai on Saturday expressed disappointment over the Margao Municipal Council's failure to carry out basic civic duties in the town. After launching road works near Richardson Apartments, opposite Sapana Splendor in Ward 2, Fatorda, at a cost of Rs six lakh, Sardesai noted that the government has received Rs 93 crore in grants from the 16th Finance Commission, which remain unaccounted for in the budget.  “Despite the government's neglect, Fatorda will continue to receive development through sustained local efforts, he asserted. Under the Chaka Chak Fatorda initiated by the Fatorda MLA, four wards have been fully covered so far, with ongoing efforts across the constituency to ensure cleanliness and infrastructure development throughout the year.
