Stalls set up by self-help groups and local vendors, as well as cultural and musical performances were the highlights of the two-day Mormugao Summer Fest which concluded on Sunday. The event attracted from people across the taluka and the closing day saw the presence of Social Welfare Minister Subhash Faldessai, WRD Minister Subhash Shirodkar and BJP State President Damu Naik. One of the key highlights of the evening was a fashion show curated by Verma Dmello, while another star attraction was renowned Bollywood singer Sudesh Bhosle, widely known as the voice of Amitabh Bachchan. Stalls set up by self-help groups and local vendors also witnessed heavy footfall, with visitors exploring a variety of food, handicrafts and local products throughout the festival. Addressing the gathering, Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar expressed gratitude to the people for their support and participation.
