MARGAO: Commissioner for NRI Affairs, Adv Narendra Sawaikar, said that the NRI Commission is in touch with the External Affairs Minister and the Indian Embassy to address the issues faced by Goans in the United States of America. Speaking to the media in Margao on Friday, Sawaikar said he is aware of the problems faced by Goans working in the USA. “I have interacted with Goans who were deported from the USA. Some Goans are still being held there for various reasons. We have written to the embassy and the External Affairs Minister to speed up the process of bringing them back,” Sawaikar said.
