GTDC Chairman and Saligao MLA Kedar Naik inaugurated the Herbal Garden & Mini Amphitheatre developed by the Pilerne-Marra panchayat behind Navtara restaurant at Alto-Saulem, in Porvorim on January 2. Others present on the occasion included North Goa ZP Adyaksha Reshma Bandodkar, Member Secretary of Goa Biodiversity Board Pradip Sarmokadam, Pilerne-Marra Deputy Sarpanch Ajay R Govekar, other Panchayat members, VDC members, BMC members, and residents from Pilerne. The inaugural ceremony was followed by New Year 2026 celebrations with Green Valley and Pilerne residents through dance, fancy dress, card making, drawing competitions, housie and spot games.
