The Silver Surfers Club is set to host Silver Fest Goa 2025 from August 28 to 30 at the Museum of Goa, Pilerne. Billed as India’s first seniors lifestyle festival, the event aims to challenge stereotypes around aging while celebrating the passions and achievements of older adults. Founded by Dipti Varma Narain in 2014, the Silver Surfers Club provides a platform for people over 50 to belong, explore and thrive. This year’s festival, supported by Ikigai Goa as the main sponsor, brings together celebrated figures who continue to inspire in their later years. Highlights include a talk on The Secret of Happiness by Dr Subodh Kerkar, a trailblazer panel featuring seafarer Derek Menezes and jazz vocalist Yvonne Gonsalves, and a performance by the legendary saxophonist Braz Gonsalves, now 92. The three-day programme will also feature heritage sessions with author Heta Pandit, creative workshops, mixers, and a Silver Bazaar showcasing senior entrepreneurs. Tickets are priced at Rs 300 per day or Rs 500 for a three-day pass, with access to talks, performances, workshops, and gallery experiences.
