Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will allocate portfolios to the newly-inducted Ministers Digambar Kamat and Ramesh Tawadkar on Monday.

State BJP President Damu Naik on Saturday told the media that the newly-inducted Ministers will get their portfolios on Monday “ coinciding with the auspicious day of Lord Damodar, Margao’s presiding deity.

“Monday is an auspicious day as per the Hindu muhurat. The Chief Minister will allocate portfolios for the newly-induced Ministers on Monday,” Damu told the media in the presence of newly-inducted Minister Digambar Kamat.

The BJP President, however, hastened to add that the media will come to know on Monday which Minister will get which portfolio.

Meanwhile, when the media drew Damu’s attention to Goa Forward chief Vijai Sardesai’s statement that the Chief Minister is overburden with around 45 portfolios, the BJP president declined to offer any comment, but extended Ganesh Chaturthi wishes to Sardesai.
