Suvarna Salgaonkar was crowned Asturi Queen, while Daniella Vaz emerged as the Runner-up at the recently held 12th edition of ASTURI 2026 in Panaji. The event featured 100 stalls showcasing a diverse range of offerings, including food items, household goods, clothing, and wellness products. A range of competitions were organised for children and adults, including a drawing, fancy dress, healthy dessert and a duet antakshari competition. The event was inaugurated by Goan actor Varsha Usgaonkar in the presence of Pratima Dhond, president, Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Sangam Kurade, vice president, GCCI, Sanjay Amonkar, director general, GCCI, Pallavi Salgaocar, mentor, Women’s Wing, GCCI and M K Meena, director MSME (Ministry of Goa), Premraj Shirodkar, director, Rural Development, GSRLM. Sandra Fernandes, chairperson, GCCI Women’s Wing, warmly welcomed. The exhibition was held under Gouri Joshi. Poonam Ajgaonkar proposed vote of thanks. The event was coordinated by Melane Rodrigues. The closing ceremony was held in the presence of Deepali Naik, project director, DRDA, South Goa.
