VASCO: In a recent political move, Jayesh Shetgaonkar, spokesperson of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) Goa unit and former party candidate from Mormugao, has resigned from the party’s primary membership. Shetgaonkar said he quit due to a lack of transparency in the party’s state-level decisions.

He expressed disappointment over what he called poor coordination and unclear leadership within the Goa unit of the TMC.

Shetgaonkar, who had contested the 2022 Assembly elections from Mormugao on a TMC ticket, said he would continue to stay active in public life and work for the people of his constituency, though he has now distanced himself from the party’s internal affairs.
