PANAJI: The Museum of Goa (MoG) is hosting a rehearsed reading of Red, the Tony Award-winning play by American playwright and screenwriter John Logan, on May 17 at 7 pm at Pilerne. Red is a powerful two-character play that explores the creative process, artistic integrity, and the emotional struggle of abstract expressionist Mark Rothko. Set in his studio, the play highlights the intense mentor-student dynamic between Rothko and his assistant, delving into art, legacy and meaning. The play reading will be performed by Karan Bhagat, a retired corporate executive with decades of experience in amateur theatre, and Megha Gulati, a Waldorf-trained teacher who works with adolescents through literature, theatre and music. The play is for adults only.
