‘Ayush institute to offer 50% reservation of seats to Goan students’

The Goa Council for Ayurvedic and Allied Indian System of Medicine has on Tuesday pointed out that the 250-bedded Ayush institute coming up at Dhargal will provide a 50 per cent reservation of seats for Goan students.

President of Goa Council Dr Sneha Bhagwat told the media that 50 per cent of the 100 seats at the Ayush institute will be reserved for Goan students to pursue education in Ayurveda and Ayush system of medicine.

She said the institute will impart education right from UG to PG and PhD and has a provision for a 250-bedded hospital.

Saying the Ayush hospital at Dhargal will be a tertiary hospital on the lines of the Goa Medical College and hospital, Bambolim, she pointed out that the 250-bedded hospital will be a modern hospital, with all facilities and equipment right from CT-scan to sonography etc.

While calling upon the people to take time and pay a visit to the World Ayurveda Congress and expo scheduled at the Kala Academy, Panjim from December 8-11, she said the Goa Council had organized an outreach activity by holding around 54 bone mineral density testing camps, besides 38 other camps in the schools.
