VASCO:
Verna Police on Tuesday evening arrested three individuals who were caught red-handed operating an online roulette gambling activity behind Aley Chicken Centre at Nagoa, Pirni in Verna.
Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid at the location and found the accused engaging in online gambling using electronic tablets.
During the operation, officers seized three tablets and a total cash amount of Rs 6,500 from the accused, with the overall value of seized items estimated at Rs 66,500.
Police have registered an offence against the accused under Sections 3 and 4 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act.
Further investigation is underway under the supervision of PI Anand Shirodkar and guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
