Rangers secured an impressive 8-wicket win over Risers in the Friendship Shield 2025 leather ball cricket tournament, played at SK Ground in Malkarnem.

Winning the toss and opting to field first, Rangers restricted Risers to 185/9 in 20 overs. Risers were off to a strong start, reaching 125/2 in 13 overs with contributions from Anoop Kudtarkar (51), Satyam Ghogale (43), and Yeshwant Javvaji (39). However, after the 13th over, they lost wickets at regular intervals, and the innings faltered.

Rangers' bowlers stepped up, with Amod Borkar taking three wickets, while Vishal Kadam and Sudhir Shet claimed two wickets each.

In reply, Rangers comfortably chased down the target of 186, finishing the match in 18.5 overs. Amod Borkar played a match-winning knock, remaining unbeaten on 79. He was supported by Roshan Naik (36) and Pawan Rane (35), guiding Rangers to a successful chase.

Amod Borkar was named the Player of the Match, while Vishal Kadam received the Game Changer of the Match award.
