Claiming to have been denied a meeting with central BJP leadership for the past three-and-half years, Priol MLA Govind Gaude has written to national president J P Nadda seeking an appointment, post his ouster from the Cabinet.
Gaude said his decision to join BJP in 2022 was not following a meeting with any central leaders but based on trust he had on State leadership under Pramod Sawant.
“After winning on the BJP ticket in 2022, I requested Sawant and other leaders to get me an appointment to meet the party high command…unfortunately, it’s been three-and-half years but till date I could not get an appointment to meet them,” he said.
“Even now, when I am dropped from Cabinet, I made a request to CM, not for my Ministry but to allow me to meet central leaders for ten minutes; I am waiting to meet them for last three-and-half years. When Nilesh Cabral was dropped, he got opportunity to meet central leaders,” he said.
He said that he has now written to Nadda for his appointment.
