GCCI head's visit to strengthen trade ties between Goa, Belagavi

President of the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Pratima Dond will be among the chief dignitaries at the inauguration of the Mega Industrial and Trade Exhibition, BELEX 2026, scheduled to begin on Tuesday in Belagavi.
Organised by the Belagavi Chamber of Commerce and Industries, the three-day exhibition will be held from March 24 to 26 at the Foundry Cluster Udyambag. The event aims to highlight the industrial and commercial strengths of Belagavi and North Karnataka while promoting inter-state trade collaboration, particularly with Goa.
The participation of Pratima Dond underscores the growing economic and business ties between Goa and Belagavi.
Industry observers believe her presence will enhance networking opportunities and help strengthen trade relations between the two regions, especially in sectors such as manufacturing, food processing, and services.
BELEX 2026 will feature over 85 stalls, offering a strong B2B platform for entrepreneurs, industrialists, and traders. Participants from Belagavi, Goa, Kolhapur, and Hubballi-Dharwad are expected to take part, making it a significant regional business event. The exhibition is designed to promote local industries, facilitate partnerships, and open new avenues for growth and investment.
The inaugural ceremony at 10 am will also be attended by prominent personalities including Maharashtra Minister Lalit Gandhi, MLA Abhay Patil, and industrialist Jayant Humbarwadi.
In addition to the exhibition, the event will host seminars, panel discussions, and interactive sessions focusing on emerging industry trends, trade opportunities, and regional economic development.
