While much of Mormugao taluka has been receiving adequate water supply, some areas like Sada and Baina in Vasco have been hit by erratic water supply.
Residents in areas like Dabolim, New Vaddem and Velsao, who earlier complained of water shortage, now say that they have been receiving proper water supply in the last few days.
In Baina, a resident said water supply has been erratic.
"We get very less water at times and it comes early morning, compelling us to wake up in the wee hours to store our water quota on a daily basis. The water pressure is also low many times," the resident added.
A resident of Sada also said there is an issue regarding water supply in the area.
"Earlier, we used to struggle for water because Sada is at the tail end of the taluka and many a houses are located on the hilltop. Sometimes, we used to get very less water and we used to struggle and even store water in containers, when led to a spread in dengue,” said the Sada resident.
“Now, we do get regular water but with very less pressure and the supply is erratic. While there may be less pressure, water supply is not cut off totally and we do get water but in the early hours of the day."
Residents in New Vaddem in Vasco and Dabolim area of Chicalim admitted that they had previously faced water shortage, but now have begun receiving adequate water supply.
