PANAJI: Administrator of Comunidades, Central Zone, Panaji, has declared 30 Comunidades as "Comunidade in default" after they failed to hold elections for the 2025–2028 triennium within the stipulated period. The decision was made under Article 181-A (1) of the Code of Comunidades following an inquiry, stakeholder hearings, and reports from clerks citing non-constitution and non-deliberation under Article 34.
The defaulting Comunidades are the Comunidades of Nirankal, Conxem, Qeula, Orgao, Adcolna, Vagurbem, Betqui, Vadi, Cuncoliem, Candeapar, Boma, Tivrem, Talaulim, Volvoi, Mercurim, Goa-Velha, Navelim, Renovadi, Talaulim-de-Santana, Naroa, Gancim, Chimbel, Caraim, GoauliMoula, Batim, Passo-de-Ambarim, Neura-O-Pequeno, Azossim, Ella and Mandur.
