MARGAO: A 60-year-old rider from Betul, Eknath Naik, died in a road accident at Balli on Wednesday. Cuncolim Police informed that the rider was run over by an inter-state bus heading towards Margao from Karnataka.
Sources said the deceased rider had gone to the Balli Primary Health Centre to drop his relative. He was knocked down by the inter-state bus meters away from the PHC when he was returning back from the health centre. The police are investigating.
