MARGAO: Margao Fire brigade rushed to Sirvodem-Navelim on Wednesday noon after receiving a call that a two-wheeler parked on the roadside on the Sirvodem side of the Margao flyover was giving a beep sound.

Taking no chances and before calling the police, Fire Officer Gill D’Sa managed to get the contact number of the two-wheeler rider, only to be told by the rider that the two-wheeler has been giving the beep sound for a long time now.

The fire member heaved a sigh of relief after being informed by the female rider that it’s not something new that the two-wheeler is giving out a beep sound. “We received information from head office Fire Services to rush to Sirvodem since the beep sound from the two-wheeler was unusual in nature. We have rushed to the spot to rule out any suspicious substances being planted on the bike”, Gill later told the media.
