Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin, on his first visit to Goa on Friday, outlined the party’s priorities for the 2027 Assembly elections, stressing unity, strong booth-level work and closer contact with party workers and the public.

During his first interaction with BJP core committee members in the State, Nabin urged leaders to work together to strengthen the organisation and prepare early for the elections. CM Pramod Sawant said there was strong enthusiasm among party workers during the visit and added that the national president had given clear guidance for the road ahead.

Nabin arrived at Manohar International Airport, Mopa, where he was received by Sawant, BJP Goa unit president Damodar Naik and other senior leaders. He briefly addressed party workers outside the BJP office, thanked them for the welcome and avoided a detailed speech.

He later attended a state-level core committee meeting at the party headquarters, where he spoke for over 30 minutes. The meeting was attended by Sawant, Naik, ministers and select office bearers. After the meeting, Nabin proceeded to the Chief Minister’s official residence at Altinho.

Sawant said the national president guided core members and MLAs on strengthening the organisation and maintaining closer contact with the public. He said Nabin would attend several party meetings during his two-day visit.

Senior BJP leader Digambar Kamat said Nabin delivered a clear message on the need for unity to strengthen the party and ensure electoral success.

Sources said Nabin also asked senior leaders to actively contribute to building the organisation and the nation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He highlighted the role of party offices as open and inclusive spaces for workers across Goa.

Later in the evening, Nabin held meetings with National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partners, including the MGP and independent MLAs supporting the Sawant-led government.
