New system to reduce waiting time for travellers

MAPUSA
Starting Wednesday, passengers flying from Manohar International Airport in Mopa can experience the convenience of the DigiYatra system, an innovative initiative by the Government of India aimed at enhancing passenger experience through advanced technology.

The DigiYatra system, powered by Facial Recognition Technology (FRT), promises to streamline entry and security procedures, significantly reducing waiting times for travellers.

The introduction of DigiYatra marks a significant step forward in modernising airport operations and ensuring a seamless journey for passengers.

By leveraging FRT, the system enables contactless and efficient passenger movement, allowing travellers to complete necessary procedures swiftly before boarding their flights.

Originally launched for domestic travellers, DigiYatra is currently operational at 13 airports across the country.

With the expansion plans underway, an additional 25 airports are expected to implement the system by the end of 2024, further enhancing the travel experience for millions of passengers nationwide.

Passengers at Manohar International Airport can look forward to a hassle-free travel experience with the implementation of DigiYatra.

With reduced waiting times and smoother procedures, the system aims to set a new standard for passenger convenience and efficiency in air travel.
