MARGAO: A native of Murudeshwar-Karnataka was looted of Rs 4.83 lakh by two unknown persons posing them as police officer on the NH66 at Dramapur on Wednesday.
The victim Shridhar Moger has complained that on May 7, at 9.40 hrs near National Highway Sirlim, Dharmapur, two unknown accused persons as Police Officers, stopped his Mahindra Bolero vehicle and started to check the vehicle for narcotic drugs.
The accused also held his face to check if he had consumed alcohol and further while checking the vehicle, they committed theft of cash of Rs. 4,83,060, which was kept below the passenger side seat.
The Margao police have registered a case under section 305(c), 204, r/w 3(5) BNS 2023.
