The Department of Tourism has asked all spice plantations and agro farms — whether they offer accommodation or not — to register under the Goa Registration of Tourist Trade Act, 1982, and Rules 1985 within 15 days.
In a circular issued on Thursday, the department said that many such places are running without the necessary permissions, NOCs, or licences from the Tourism Department.
“This step is to make sure they follow the law, stay transparent, and maintain proper standards in the tourism sector,” the circular said.
