A body of a labourer working on a fishing boat was found in the Mandovi River near Reis Magos Fort on Sunday. The tourists who observed the body floating in the Mandovi River informed the Porvorim police around 5 pm, Porvorim Police rushed to the site immediately and removed the body. Porvorim police mentioned that the deceased has been identified as Somra Dang, aged 41 and a native of Jharkhand. He was missing since yesterday. He must have fallen from a fishing boat and drowned. The exact reason of death will be known after the postmortem. No marks of injuries on his body were found. Police Sub Inspector Pratik Tulaskar is investigating the case.
