Poshan assembly under ‘POSHAN Abhiyan’ was conducted at Anjuman Himayatul Islam High School, Vasco on Friday at 9 am for the students of standard 3 to 10 virtually, to discuss and sensitize them on – "Malnutrition - its impact on the society" and "Value of healthy and balanced diet".
The assembly began with instructions given from PE teacher Anik Naik, followed with a prayer by Shreeya Naik.
Smitha Prashanth informed the students about ‘Poshan Maah’ which is being celebrated to further accelerate various activities under ‘POSHAN Abhiyan’ and to create a ‘Jan Aandolan’ in the process by adhering COVID-19 protocols.
Shehnaz Khan composed and presented a song in Konkani with a message to boost the immunity in children.
Smitha Prashanth discussed "Malnutrition and its impact on the society" with the students and sensitized them on the same.
Aisha Samreen Shaikh enlightened the students about the importance of a healthy and balanced diet.
The program was technically coordinated by Lab assistant Abdul Wahab Khan.
The Headmaster and teachers attended the assembly by adhering to social distancing norms and the vote of thanks was proposed by Smitha Prashanth.
