VALPOI: The Sattari Urban Cooperative Credit Society (SUCCS) at Valpoi will open its new branch at Usgao-Tisk on November 1.
Briefing media persons at a news conference held at Valpoi, SUCCS Chairman Yeshwant Gawas announced the new Usgao-Tisk branch would be the 10th branch of the society.
“Our society is growing very fast and we hope to have 25 branches during our silver jubilee celebrations in 2020,” said Gawas.
“This society, which started its business in 1996 with just 800 members, has now over 15,000 members and shareholders,” he added.
SUCCS General Manager Laxman Gawas informed that SUCCS is one of the best managed credit societies in the State, with an 'A' class audit certificate.
The SUCCS's 10th branch at Usgao-Tisk will be inaugurated on Sunday by Minister for Coperation and Industries Mahadev Naik in thhe presence of Valpoi MLA Vishwajeet Rane.
The SUCCS board of directors present at the news conference included Farid Khan, Premnath Hazare, Vishwasrao Rane, Vasudev Parab, Adv. Kashinath Mhalshekar, Krishna Gawas and Mhalu Gawas.
