Final opportunity for eligible applicants to register under 2013 employment scheme

The Home Department has opened a special registration window for children of freedom fighters who are seeking employment in government departments. According to a press note, the “Scheme for Providing Employment in Government to the Children of Freedom Fighters”, notified in 2013, allowed eligible children of freedom fighters registered with the department to be sponsored for jobs in various government departments.
The department stated that some children of freedom fighters could not register under the scheme in 2013 due to various reasons.
As a final opportunity, the department has decided to open a special window for the registration of children of only those freedom fighters who are already registered with the Home Department.
Eligible applicants can approach the Home Department with the freedom fighter certificate of either parent to collect application forms between March 17 and March 31, 2026.
The completed forms must be submitted by April 6, 2026. Applications received after this date will not be accepted.
