State boasts of 11.7L voters, including 6.07L females

The Office of the Chief Election Office, Goa, on Tuesday released an updated list of electorates for the two parliamentary constituencies in Goa, which will go to polls on May 7.

As per the latest figures till April 19, the State has 11,79,344 voters across Goa of which 607,715 are female voters and 5,71,617 are male voters.

As per the final electoral roll 2024 published on January 5, 2024, the total voters registered in Goa were 1,167,237, out of which 575,910 were in North Goa and 591,327 in South Goa.

The Electoral Roll was updated thereafter till April 19, the last date of receiving nominations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

“During the continuous updation process, the total number of electors added in the electoral roll from the final electoral roll 2024 published on January 5, 2024, to the last date of receiving nominations – April 19, is 19,949 and the total number of deleted voters is 7,544,” reads the information provided by the State government on Tuesday.

The updated list also reveals 84 voters overseas while 11,502 are aged 85 years and above. The first-time voters, aged 18-19 years, comprise 28,042 whereas 9,423 are PwD electorates.
