The Crime Branch has arrested a 48-year-old Saurabh Sahni from Uttar Pradesh in connection with a viral video allegedly showing a foreign woman being solicited near Tito’s Lane in Baga, Goa. The video was allegedly filmed in 2024 and later uploaded on social media to increase online views and subscribers.
According to Crime Branch officials, during interrogation the accused confessed that he had solicited the woman for prostitution and recorded the video on September 19, 2024, at around 1:19 am near the end of Tito's Lane.
“The footage was stored on his hard disk and uploaded it on April 12, 2026, to his YouTube channel named “Realduniya007” in an attempt to increase subscribers. After receiving fewer views, he allegedly re-uploaded the same video on his personal Facebook account,” said SP Crime Branch, Rahul Gupta.
Police further stated that the accused admitted he had not blurred or concealed the identity of the victim before uploading the content online.
The Social Media Monitoring Cell in Panaji detected the video on YouTube and Facebook, following which the PRISM unit carried out technical analysis to trace the person responsible.
A Crime Branch team later travelled to Lucknow, where Sahni was traced, detained, and brought to Goa before being formally arrested.
Police also said they have traced the foreign national seen in the video and recorded her statement. Efforts are underway to identify and trace other persons visible in the footage.
An FIR has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 67 and 67A of the Information Technology Act relating to sexually explicit material and offences against women.
