The Enough is Enough movement on Sunday resolved to expand its campaign across villages in Salcete ahead of a public meeting planned at the historic Lohia Maidan in Margao.

Addressing the media, Elvis Gomes said the movement has gained strong momentum statewide by raising awareness about threats to Goa’s land resources. He stressed that Salcete, being a key taluka, will see intensified outreach through village-level committees.

Gomes warned that a massive public gathering will be held in Margao, followed by one in Panaji, if the government fails to respond to Justice Ferdino Rebello’s 10-point charter of demands.

Environmental activist Govind Shirodkar urged people to support the movement to protect Goa, calling for unity to safeguard the state’s future.

Advocate Cleofato Coutinho said land changes continue despite legal scrutiny, adding that citizens must actively defend democratic values.

Activists Sabita Mascarenhas and Serafino Cota also appealed for public support to strengthen the movement.
